WHAT WE'LL DO

It is easy to focus on the task ahead when you know you already have the best abilities and tools at your disposal. The Meet-Up ahead aims to challenge you to consider your typing skills, your text editor and your automation tools, to make you know you already took care of all annoying little details and you can now focus on your work, comfortable developing.

  1. As developers or QA engineers, we are sure you already have developed some impressive typing skills, but have you stopped for a second to consider where did you inherited your QWERTY keyboard layout? Is it the best layout available? What would be the effort to change it to a different layout? Will it wort it? As a Dvorak user, Dani is getting ready to open our minds on the topic.
  1. What about your text editor? I cannot emphasise how important the text editor is, you already know this. As a VIM addicted, Andrei is kind enough to share some of his knowledge on this "highly configurable text editor built to make creating and changing any kind of text very efficient" - Quoted from www.vim.org
  1. But it is all for nothing if at the end you'll need to revert the classic 1950's deployment style: copy/paste. We all know about the automatic deployment, now we just need to commit our code to our preferred version control system and the automatic deployment will take care of those mundane (dull) tasks leaving us more time to do what we love. As a Self-Published Nerd, Janos will give us a hint on how you can become one too.
